I’m a wolf, sneaking around the mount
I saw odd creatures of two legs crawling
they pawed the blackish grey ground
with their odd five claws
to the herds their cunning red eyes
suspiciously lurked
they ate ruins
black burnt bones they chewed
golden stones they swallowed
their mouths grumbled solemn words of philanthropy
I’m a wolf, wondering all the time
what teeth and bellies these creatures have
I’m a wolf, groaning alone in a broken dome
